Day of Surgery

Registration

On your day of surgery please be sure to bring proof of insurance and a government issued photo identification for registration. If you have a Living Will or Power of Attorney, please bring a copy as well. During registration our staff will work with you to complete documentation including Conditions of Admission and provide you with Patient Rights & Responsibilities and notice of HIPAA rights. All of these documents are available to read on this website. If you need to make special financial arrangements, simply give us a call prior to admission.

Pre-Operative Area

You will be asked to arrive 1-2 hours before your actual surgery.  Please be on time so we can help you with all the necessary admission procedures.

Be sure to bring a list of your current medications and any paperwork your doctor may have given you.

Dress comfortably! We suggest loose-fitting pants and top.  Consider the surgery you are having and possible post-op limitations like buttoning and zipping. Refrain from restrictive clothing such as jeans and belts.  Wear comfortable supportive shoes.

When you arrive, we'll provide a gown and slippers for you to change into, and will need you to remove all jewelry, contact lenses, dentures and any prosthesis.
Once you are settled, you will meet with our anesthesia team to discuss your options.

Operating Room

Physician's Care operating room team members are all highly trained, focused and team-oriented to support and assist your surgeon towards the goal of accomplishing your surgery safely and efficiently. Our surgeons leverage our experienced staff to accomplish your surgery quickly thus reducing the opportunities for infection and lessening the duration of anesthetic time. Additionally, our sterile processing department has been recognized for their high-quality work and efficiency.
